By no means am I a Ryan Adams fanatic -- the guy writes songs at an astonishingly prolific rate, and I've never really been able to keep up -- but I'm somewhat familiar with his work and his songwriting talent is undeniable. It's wacky and interesting to see him releasing a full-album cover of Taylor Swift's 1989, and now the first song stream from that cover album, Adams' take on "Bad Blood," is streaming via Zane Lowe's Beats 1 Radio show.
It's pretty incredible. If the entire album is just Ryan Adams singer/songwriter-ing 1989, it's going to be an awesomely fun listen for the entire fall.
Adams' cover of 1989 comes out next Monday and will be available for pre-order on Apple Music tonight. PS: Could you tell that this was an exclusive world premiere by listening to Lowe introduce the stream? I think he said "world premiere" about a dozen times in 30 seconds.
